Junior Software Engineer

The Role:

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be working and mentored by our Head of Software Delivery. You will be part of the imio software development team who are responsible for the End-to-End design, development, and deployment of our software products and services.

You will have the opportunity to work with many technologies in this role such as C#, .NET Core, .NET Standard, Xamarin, WPF.

You will be working alongside experienced engineers who are passionate about software Development.

 

The Person:

Degree in computer related discipline, or equivalent experience. Ability to demonstrate some relevant coding experience or examples would be required.

The Main Duties Will Include:

  • Internal Software Development Support for ongoing projects or product development.
  • Internal Software Bug Fix management and ownership to help support the on-boarding phase.
  • External Software Support to existing customers. (Training on our products will be provided)

 

Essential Technical Skills, Qualifications, Experience:

  • A strong base of technical computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software packages or languages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience in a similar role performing the functions of a Software Engineer would be beneficial

 

Personal Attributes:

  • A can do attitude with a demonstrable passion for technology.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both face-to-face and on the telephone with the ability to speak to colleagues at all levels.
  • Commitment to your own progression.
  • Well organised with the ability to work alone and the willingness to learn on the job.
  • Able to effectively manage and agree priorities for all assigned tasks and responsibilities with direct line manager.
